Her kæmper han som vaskeægte vikingekriger og udøver sin kampsport som de skandinaviske krigere gjorde det i ca. 800-1050.

Denne sport, kræver en god fysisk form, men også interesse for historien og dens kulturarv eftersom de laver deres eget tøj og økser mm. De træner en gang i ugen og om sommeren mødes de med andre vikingekampgrupper på vikingemarkederne og kæmper store slag. Kampene er aldrig indstuderede, men følger nogle regler.

ULFHEDNIR er en gruppe med interesse for vikingetidens arkæologi og historie. Deres hovedfokus er våben fra den periode, og hvordan de blev brugt. Med denne viden forsøger de at genoptage vikingetidskampe men også dagligdagen, håndværkene, værktøjerne og brugen af disse. Kort sagt, forsøger de at gøre historien levende.

Hvordan så de ud?

I England blev de beskrevet som ”velplejede hjerteknusere” som redte deres hår hver dag, og som bade hver lørdag. De skiftede ofte deres klæder og var derfor meget renlige. I England belejrede de gifte kvinders dyd og overtalte døtrene af selv fornemme mænd til at blive deres friller.
